LCS Finish Third At D-II Nationals
TOMAHAWK, Wis. – The Lake City Skiers had themselves quite a successful weekend, placing third at the 15th Division 2 Show Ski National Championships.
Hosted by the Kwahamot Show Ski team, the tournament featured nine teams competing for the Division 2 show ski national title.
The Lake City Skiers tallied 1,309.73 points, but were short of the champions from Aqua Skiers from Wisconsin Rapids, which posted 1,402.67 points. The Browns Lake Aqua Ducks narrowly edged out Lake City for second place with a score of 1,313.33 points.
The Hartwick Husky’s and Kwahamot Ski teams rounded out the top five with scores of 1,272.5 and 1174.23, respectively. Lake City also had the second-highest scoring Individual Club Act with Matt Voss’s barefoot circle and placed second in team Barefoot, Doubles and Jump.
The 2016 Division 2 Show Ski National Championships will be hosted on August 6-7, 2016, by the Lake City Skiers at Hidden Lake in Warsaw. For complete team results, visit www.usawaterski.org
