WARSAW — Warsaw Community Public Library news and events this month:
Cookbook Club discusses picnic foods and potluck dishes from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 3. Bring your recipes, and taste a dish.
Learn how to draw comics and more from 2 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 3. Ages 9-14 only can learn to draw realistic faces, scenery, and more. Register for this event to attend.
New release Tuesday is from 10 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 4. In this rated PG movie, a lovable misfit from another planet meets a girl named Tip. The two unlikely friends embark on the greatest journey of all time. Then, from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 4, Tris and Four are now fugitives on the run, hunted by Jeanine, the leader of the power-hungry Erudite elite. Racing against time, they must find out what Tris’s family sacrificed their lives to protect. This movie is rated PG-13.
The ‘Off the Shelf Reading Group’ runs from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 6. Join with others to discuss “The Last Letter from Your Love” by Jojo Moyes.

The Knit and PURL club meets from 6 p.m. until 7:45 p.m. Monday, Aug. 10. For the beginner and expert, bring your projects. Help is available.
Writer’s club meets from 6:30 p.m to 7:45 p.m. Monday, Aug. 10. Topics to write about this month are: fall fashions; school days; and vacations.
Genealogy Club meets from 10 a.m. until noon Tuesday, Aug. 11, for question and answer time.
Learn about savvy social security planning from 6 p.m. until 7:30 Tuesday, Aug. 11. This program is to help baby boomers make the right decisions before taking their social security. Learn what to do and how to do it. Be sure to register for this program.
Lake City Piecemakers Quilt Club meets from 9:15 a.m. until 12:15 p.m. Friday, Aug. 14. Learn paper piecing and using fusible web for appliqueing in meeting room C.
Learn the basics of starting a home school from 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18. Register for this program.
The gluten-free support group is from 12:15 p.m. until 1:15 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 19. Learn what it means to be gluten free, what you can eat, and what you can not, even at restaurants.
From 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 25, learn about how to work with impulsive children, when parents, teachers, and others who work with children can experience the program “Impulsive Behavior on Every Child’s Heart.” You must register for this program.
There will be a card making class from 6 p.m. until 7:45 p.m. Monday, Aug. 31. Make three cards for $8 with Faith Ketterer, a “Stampin’ Up” consultant. There is a $4 non-refundable registration fee paid at the desk upon registration and a $4 paid at time of the class. Cash only.
