Syracuse Couple Beaten, Robbed By Two Suspects

SYRACUSE — At approximately 10 p.m. Wednesday, July 29, Syracuse Police Department was dispatched to a possible fight in 1400 block of South Harkless Drive.
Upon the arrival of officers, it was determined that a man and woman had been walking south on Harkless when they were approached from behind my two males. When the two males got to the couple they began hitting the male and knocking him to the ground. One of the males then pulled out a knife and demanded the contents of the victim’s wallet. The victim gave them the cash in his wallet and the suspects then fled to a waiting vehicle in the parking lot of a nearby business. The male victim suffered cuts to his face from being hit by the suspects, the female victim ran to a nearby residence to call for help.
The suspects are described as a white male wearing a hoodie over his face and a black male, bigger build with glasses. Both suspects fled the scene in a light colored four door car. A witness near the area observed the males entering the described vehicle and fleeing at a high rate of speed.
