Beulah M. Wentz
Beulah M. Wentz passed away at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 28, 2015, in Millers Merry Manor, Warsaw, on her 94th birthday.
She was born July 28, 1921, in Livingston, Ky. to Harrison B. and Lula (Perciful) Cope. On June 2, 1950, in New Paris, Ohio, Beulah became the bride of Harold H. Wentz. They moved to Warsaw in 1961. Harold would precede her in death April 9, 1997.
Beulah was a material handler for R.R. Donnelley and Sons for 22 years retiring in 1986. She was the first female hired at Donnelley’s.
A member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 49, she loved playing Euchre and never passed a garage sale. Beulah was a very giving person who dearly loved her grandchildren.
Those who survive are her daughter: Julie Wentz-Frazier, Grove City, Ohio; three sons: Roy (Sandra) Wentz, Warsaw; Larry (Judie) Wentz, Warsaw; and Doug (Cindy) Wentz, Seymore; 18 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson. In addition to her husband: Harold, those preceding Beulah’s death is a son: Jerry Cope, on June 25, 2002; three brothers: John Cope; George Cope; and James Cope; five sisters: Alene Potts; Ethel Samdel; Hazel Ponder; Pearl King; and Myrtle Cope.
Family and friends will gather at 10 a.m. until noon Monday, Aug. 3, at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, for a time to share memories. Then beginning at noon, a service celebrating Beulah’s life will begin with Pastor EJ Underwood of Warsaw Community Church officiating. Burial will follow in Leesburg Cemetery, Leesburg.
The family has asked that gifts in Beulah’s memory be given to Kosciusko Home Care and Hospice, Warsaw.
