Schori Announced As New Trojan XC Coach
BOURBON – The Triton Athletic Department announced today that 2008 Triton graduate, Blake Schori, will be the next boys and girls cross country coach. Schori will take over for former coach Wes Rettinger, who led the Trojans for the past 11 seasons.
“We were saddened to see coach Rettinger step down from his coaching position and also move away from the teaching profession,” Triton athletic director Mason McIntyre said. “We wish Wes nothing but the best as he pursues a new career as a full time farmer!”
Coach Schori is a graduate of Ball State University where he earned a bachelors degree in Sports Administration. He has coached the boys freshmen basketball team the past two seasons. Schori has also worked in the Triton School Corporation the past few years as a substitute teacher.
“We are excited to bring coach Schori to our cross country program,” McIntyre said. “Blake has done an outstanding job with the boys freshmen basketball team the past few years and we feel confident that his experience will lead to great results with the Triton cross country team.”
Info about practices will be posted next week.
