Fort Wayne 22nd Best Place To Drive
FORT WAYNE — Fort Wayne may not be the best place to drive, but it is not the worst, either.
A recent study posted on WalletHub places Fort Wayne at number 22 in a list that examines the 100 most populated cities in the U.S. and ranks them according to which are the best and which are the worst places to be a driver.
The study takes into account 21 different areas, including things like traffic delays, car thefts, auto repair shops per 100,000 residents, average gas price, insurance rates and average parking rate.
While 22nd may not sound too impressive, Fort Wayne tops Indianapolis, which came out at number 66 on the list.
The top 10 best cities to be a driver were Lubbock, Texas, Corpus Christi, Texas, Lincoln, Neb., Greensboro, Ark., Tucson, Ariz., Reno, Nev., Durham, N.C., Colorado Springs, Colo., Winston-Salem, N.C. and Raleigh, N.C.
The top 10 worst cities for driving were Los Angeles, Calif., Baltimore, Md., Chiago, Ill., Boston, Mass., Newark, N.J., Detroit, Mich., San Francisco, Calif., Philadelphia, Pa., Washington, D.C. and New York, N.Y.
