Beth A. Perry, age 60, of Elkhart, formerly of Nappanee, died at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 14, 2015, at her residence from a year and a half battle with metastatic melanoma.

She was born on Jan. 7, 1955 in Elkhart to John L. and Lucille J. (Wiersma) Mellinger. She was a lifetime area resident. Beth worked in the office at LuAnn Nursing Home for many years. She enjoyed gardening and being outside. Her and her husband Bruce enjoyed going to Donnell Lake in Michigan. She was a former member of First Brethren Church in Nappanee, and a member of Jamestown United Methodist Church. She loved animals. Beth married Bruce Perry on Aug. 10, 1985 in Nappanee.

He survives, along with a daughter: Jordan (Tyler) Auble, Indianapolis; son: Jarred (Jamie) Klotz, Pa.; grandson: Max Auble, Indianapolis; and brother: Bob (Nancy) Mellinger, Bremen. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Her wishes were to be cremated, and there will be visitation from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday, July 20, at Thompson-Lengacher and Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee, and for an hour prior to the 10:30 a.m. memorial service at First Brethren Church in Nappanee, on Tuesday, July 21, 2015. Rev. Tom Schiefer will officiate.
