Rain Delays Horse, Pony Show
The Kosciusko County Fair is off to a soggy start as a line of storms blows through the area.
The horse and pony western show, which began at 9 a.m., was barely underway when the announcement came for everyone to move indoors. Moments later, dark clouds rolled in and the rain began.
Inside the barn, kids and parents milled around, waiting for the weather to break. Meanwhile, puddles built up in the show arena, prompting an announcement that 4-H’ers would be allowed to wear muck boots in the ring and could replace felt hats with riding helmets.
Plans are to continue with the show as soon as the weather permits, but there is no word on what time that will be.
