William L. Snider
William L. Snider, 89 of Warsaw, passed away at 6:55 a.m Monday, May 25, 2015, in Mason and Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Warsaw.
On Dec. 13, 1925, he was born in Connersville, to Francis and Ruby (Showalter) Snider. He was united in marriage to Lila Smith in 1950 who preceded him death and then he married Julia Gebert in 1965, who also preceded him in death. He was united in marriage to Peggy (Breland) Edmonds in 2001, who survives. William served our country in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He had worked for various companies in his life, including, Uhl and Snider Milling, Connersville; Olin Corporation/Winchester Rifle as a professional trap and skeet exhibition shooter; Central Soya, Fort Wayne in Mill and Manger Sales and Investors Diversified Services, Evansville as an investment manager. William also was a manager for Steckleys Mill and Hatchery, Orland; Snider Insurance Agency, Warsaw and was the developer of Silver Fox, Warsaw.
He is survived by his wife: Peggy Snider, Warsaw; two daughters: Kimberly (Ronald) Fennell, Wolcottville; and Beth (Patrick) Moran, South Bend, his son: Steve (Lorie) Snider, Yorktown; stepson: J. Ryan Edmonds, San Francisco, Calif.; stepdaughter: Jasmine (John) Cole, Pensacola, Fla.; 19 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son: Dan Snider; and two brothers: James Snider; and George Snider.
A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 18, in Trinity United Methodist Church, Warsaw, with Pastor Dave Hummel officiating. Burial will be private.
