Local 4-H Royalty Crowned
WARSAW — Jared Templin, Leesburg, and Elizabeth Zorn, Warsaw, will reign over the 2015 Kosciusko County Fair, along with 4-H prince and princess, Conner Sausaman, Syracuse, and Emily Day, North Manchester.
Templin and Zorn were crowned this year’s king and queen last evening following the annual Kosciusko County 4-H Fashion Revue. The evening also included the annual recognition and awards ceremony.
The son of Terry and Karen Templin, Leesburg, Jared
Templin is a nine-year member of the Milford Helping Hands 4-H club. His projects include beef, swine and recycling and he has held the offices of Milford Helping Hands vice president and junior beef committee member. Templin will be a senior at Wawasee High School. He plans to graduate from college, then return to the family farm.
Zorn is the daughter of Glen and Penny Zorn, Warsaw. She is an eight-year member of the Syracuse Community Hands and her projects include sheep, swine, dog poster, poultry, woodworking, foods, dog obedience, cake decorating and fine arts. Zorn has held the offices of Syracuse Community Hands president and 4-H Junior Leaders parliamentarian. She will be a junior at Wawasee High School and someday plans to teach agriculture.
A nine-year member of the Milford Helping Hands, Sausaman is the son of Matt and Christi Sausaman, Syracuse. His projects include dairy calf feeder steer, dairy beef, swine, poultry, alfalfa, photography and foods. He has been a dairy calf feeder steer committee member and recreation leader. He will be a senior at Wawasee High School this fall and plans to attend Blackhawk University to study agribusiness and soil science.
Day, a nine-year member of the Silver Lake Rambling Farmers, is the daughter of Mike and Jennifer Day, North Manchester. Her projects include dairy and swine. She will be a senior at Whitko High School and plans to attend in college and major in pre-med with a Spanish minor. Afterwards, she plans to attend medical school to become a pediatrician.
