Country Music Association-nominated artist and Academy of Country Music Awards’ New Artist of the Year winner, Cole Swindell, will be the headlining music performance during the 96th Newton County Pun’kin Vine Fair.
Swindell released his self-titled debut album last year on Warner Bros. Records. The album features Swindell’s latest single, “Ain’t Worth The Whiskey,” along with his first two consecutive Number-one singles as a solo artist: the gold certified hit, “Hope You Get Lonely Tonight” and the platinum certified smash, “Chillin’ It.”
Named Music Row’s Breakthrough Songwriter of the Year for 2014 and one of Billboard’s Top New Country Artists, Swindell’s celebrated songwriting credits also include hit songs such as “This Is How We Roll” for Florida Georgia Line, “Get Me Some of That,” the No. 1 single for Thomas Rhett and several songs with Luke Bryan, including his latest No. 1 single “Roller Coaster.” “Chillin’ It” was named one of the most played songs on country radio in 2014, racking up almost 1.3 million sales of Swindell’s 2.5 million total tracks sold.
Swindell will take the stage in front of the grandstand and bring his special brand of country music to the South Shore beginning at 8 p.m. CST Tuesday, July 14. Tickets for the performance cost $38 and can be purchased at www.newtoncountyfair.com.
