Eraldo ‘Eddie’ DiRico
Eraldo “Eddie” DiRico, 72, Winona Lake, passed away at 9:20 p.m. Monday, July 6, at St. Joseph Hospital, Fort Wayne.
He was born Sept. 28, 1942, in Orsogna, Italy, to Pasquale and Maddalena (D’Angelo) DiRico. He was a paratrooper for the Italian Army. He lived most of his life in Kosciusko County from Boston, Mass. He was a master bricklayer, doing the stonework for the Biblical gardens; the brickwork for the College Hall of Fame, South Bend; the Honeywell Center, Wabash; and the brickwork for the Warsaw Community High School Football Stadium.
He married Genyce Plummer on March 20, 1971, in Atwood. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, fourth degree; and a 40 year member of the Bricklayer Union.
He is survived by his wife: Genyce DiRico, Winona Lake; son: Pasquale Robert (Patricia) DiRico, Oak Park, Ill.; four grandchildren: Alexandria DiRico; Andrea DiRico; Lucas DiRico; and Daniela DiRico; brother: Alfredo “Tony” (Giovanna) DiRico, Warsaw.
He was preceded in death by his brother: Nicola DiRico.
Visitation will be form 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. Sunday, July 12, at Titus Funeral Home, Wasaw, with a rosary service beginning at 7 p.m. Sunday, July 12. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, July 14, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Warsaw, with Father Phil DeVolder officiating. Burial will be at Pleasant View Cemetery, Warsaw.
