Subway Spokesperson Jared Fogle’s Zionsville Home Raided
The Zionsville, Indiana, home of Subway spokesperson Jared Fogle was raided by federal and state law enforcement agents at approximately 6:30 a.m. this morning as part of a child pornography investigation.
The raid is connected to the arrest of Russell Taylor, former executive director of the Jared Foundation, in April for child pornography. Taylor’s arrest came after a tip from a person who allegedly received a text message from him. A search of his home led to charges of possession of child pornography, child exploitation and voyeurism.
Fogle stated in a release after Taylor’s arrest that he was “shocked to learn of the allegations against Mr. Taylor” and immediately severed all ties with Taylor in regard to the Jared Foundation.
In today’s raid, Fogle has been detained but has not been charged or arrested. His wife and children left shortly after the surprise raid began. Officials have been seen removing electronics including laptops and taking them to a mobile forensics unit in the home’s driveway for analyzing.
The Indiana Internet Crimes Against Children task force is the lead agency in the investigation.
