Fun was had by all those in attendance at our Burlap and Rose Wreath program. Every wreath turned out different and beautiful. Check out our upcoming adult programs.
Come and do image transfers on wood. Take an image, transfer it to wood and add a coat hook for a vintage look. There are two images with quotes to choose from. Cost for this program is $4 and you must sign up. Join us at 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 21.
Are you a quilter or are you interested in learning how to quilt? Join our quilting club. Our first meeting is at 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 28.. This is a planning meeting to discuss some of the projects you would be interested in doing or learning and when you would like the quilting club to meet. Sign up for a reminder call.
Coming in August, we will be making a barn quilt. These are painted on wood. We will be doing the Ohio star pattern. You can pick either red and white or blue and white for your barn quilt colors. Cost for this program will be $10 and will take two and possibly three classes to complete. Dates and time will be at 6 p.m. Aug. 18 and Aug. 25. Please sign up and pre-pay for this program. Payment must be made by Friday, Aug. 7, to guarantee your spot.
Every month at Bell Library join us for euchre at Bell Library. It is the fourth Monday of the month. July’s euchre is at 6 p.m. Aug. 27. We will be taking donations for prizes this month and will have prizes for the most points, most loaners and a booby prize! Coffee will be provided but please bring your own snacks and drinks. Come join the fun.
Also, don’t forget Zumba at Bell Library at 7 p.m. every Monday evening and PiYo at 6 p.m. every Thursday evening (Held at Metzger Park for the summer). A $3 donation is requested per person per class. For info follow Akron Piyo & Eva’s Zumba and Hip Hop Classes on Facebook.
Check out our programs for kids and teens this month. Professor Steve is coming to Bell Library! Watch in amazement as Professor Steve does everything that Superman can do (including levitating, controlling gravity and breaking objects with laser heat vision), and then learn the science behind it all! Great for all ages! Let Professor Steve show you how exciting science can be. The event will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 11.
Our kid’s carnival is Saturday, July 18, for those who have participated in the summer reading program. Kids can earn extra carnival tickets! Read a special SRP book, which is marked with a blue dot on the spine. Come to SRP programs held during summer reading and enter the young author’s contest.
Finish the Summer Reading Program and earn a t-shirt, free book and three chances to enter the grand prize drawing! Be the top reader in your age group and win a special prize.
Teens! Make a superhero peace sign at 6 p.m. Thursday, July 9. You can hang this on your wall or prop it up on your desk or dresser. Make a resistor bracelet, which is a bracelet made from resistors. Come and make this awesome bracelet at 6 p.m. Thursday, July16.
Teen gaming is from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 30, and anime will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday July 31. Both programs are held monthly.
