Mary Poppins Comes To Fort Wayne Civic Theater
Fort Wayne Civic Theatre will soon feature Disney and Cameron Mackintosh’s “Mary Poppins,” a musical based on the stories of P.L. Travers and the Walt Disney Film. The production, which features original music and lyrics by Richard M. Sherman and Robert B. Sherman, will be performed throughout July and August.
Based on the iconic Disney film, “Mary Poppins, The Broadway Musical” will capture your heart in a whole new way. Set in England in 1910, jack-of-all-trades Bert introduces you to the troubled Banks family who is in search of yet another nanny.
Young Jane and Michael Banks have sent a number of caregivers on their way before Mary Poppins arrives to set the family straight. Using a combination of common sense and a little magic, Mary Poppins takes the children on many memorable adventures. Along the way lessons are learned by children and adults alike.
