L. Maxine Cole
L. Maxine Cole, 95 of Lake Placid, Fla, and formally Pierceton, went to meet her Savior at 5:26 p.m. June 26, 2015, in the Good Shepherd Home, Sebring, Fla..
She was born in June 27, 1919, in Bourbon, to Hubert Ray (1889-1960) and Lillie Viola (Lutes)(1896-1981) Fawley. On Nov. 8, 1937, she married Alson Roy Cole in Pierceton, who preceded her in death on Feb. 2, 1993.
She is survived by three sons: Dr. Larry Gene (Cheryl) Cole, Yorktown, and Marathon, Fla.; Terry Max (Cindy) Cole, Warsaw; Robert Dale Cole, Lake Placid, Fla.; six grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren; several nieces; nephews; great nieces and nephews; and cousins.
She was preceded in death by brother: James Arthur “Tom” Fawley (1913-1985) and a sister: Theresia Irene Fawley – Cole (1918-1994).
She attended Monroe elementary and graduated from Pierceton High School Class of 1937. She lived the most of her life on the “Family Homestead Farm” at the north edge of Pierceton, prior to moving to Fla. and living with her son in 2013. She was a life member of Pierceton American Legion Post Aux. Unit 258
PRIVATE graveside services only; Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton.
