Levi Burkholder
Levi Burkholder, 95, of Goshen died at home Wednesday afternoon, June 24, 2015.
He was born June 12, 1920, in Marshall County to David O. and Amanda (Stutzman) Burkholder. On Oct. 18, 1952 he married Anna “Leota” Eash at Griner Mennonite Church, Middlebury. She died in 2008.
He is survived by two sons: Wayne J. (Claris) Burkholder; and Dean C. (Rosann) Burkholder, both of Goshen; three grandchildren: Charlotte (Phil) Gran, New Paris; Eric (Katie) Burkholder, Goshen; and Ashley Stout, New paris; three great-grandchildren: Kylie; Gavin; and Justin Gran; three sisters: Malinda Miller, Carrier Mills, Ill.; Lilly (Jonathan) Stolzfus, Morgantown, Pa.; and Iva (Daniel) Nisley, Partridge, Ks.; and a brother: David (Elva) Burkholder, Morgantown, Pa.
Along with his parents and wife he was preceded in death by four sisters: Mabel Mast; Leona Kilmer; Tilly Haltman; and Mary Belle Yoder; and two brothers: Walter and Richard Burkholder.
Levi was a member of the Pleasant Grove Conservative Mennonite Church and lifelong farmer.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, June 27, at Pleasant Grove Conservative Mennonite Church, Goshen, where a 2 p.m. Sunday, June 28, funeral service will be held. Rev. Randall Reigsecker and the home ministry will officiate.
Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Goshen.
