Charles E. Zimmerman
Charles E. Zimmerman, 92 of Warsaw, passed away at 10:40 p.m. Tuesday, June 23, 2015, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.
On Sept. 17, 1922, he was born in Warsaw, to Wallace and Laura Bell (Anglin) Zimmerman. He was united in marriage to Catherine Schlemmer on January 29, 1950 in Warsaw, who preceded him in death on Aug. 6, 1993.
A lifetime resident of Kosciusko County, Charles was a graduate of Leesburg High School and was a lifelong farmer. Charles was devoted to his family all of the days of his life. He was a loving husband, dad and grandpa. He loved the outdoors where he spent most of his time with the farm.
He is survived by his son: Charles G. (Barb) Zimmerman, N.C.; two daughters: Nancy A. (Rick) McHenry, Leesburg; and Julia M. (Herb) Baldwin, Etna Green; four grandchildren: Melissa (Travis) Gunther, Ladera Ranch, Calif.; Matthew (Christine) McHenry, Warsaw; Georgia Baldwin, Warsaw; and Rebekah Baldwin, Etna Green; and two great-grandchildren: Kaspar Gunther, Ladera Ranch, Calif.; and Violet McHenry, Warsaw. He was preceded in death by his sister: Helen M. Sellers.
A funeral service will be at 11 a.m Saturday, June 27, in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw with Pastor Robert Jarboe of Kosciusko Homecare and Hospice officiating. Burial will be in Leesburg Cemetery, Leesburg.
Visitation hours will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday, June 26, at the funeral chapel.
