NLC Issues Baseball All-Conference
GOSHEN – The final installment of the 2014-15 Northern Lakes Conference athletic season awards were issued Friday as the conference released its baseball All-NLC selections.
Northridge and NorthWood both had the most representation after both finished 12-2 overall in the conference. Not so surprising, both teams won their sectional tournaments are playing in regional games this Saturday.
The Raiders and Panthers each had four All-NLC and a pair of Honorable Mentions for their clubs. For Ridge, Sam Troyer, Andrew Kennedy, Travis Miller and Matt Miller all were All-NLC while Eric Burgess and Grant Miller were Honorable Mention All-NLC. For the Panthers, Chad Sellers, Brock Beehler, Vinny Miranda and Dominic Miranda were All-NLC while Trent Sellers and Tanner Cleveland were Honorable Mention All-NLC.
Plymouth finished in third at 8-6 and had Elijah Nixon, Justin Drudge and Braydon Davidson chosen as All-NLC and Brandon Milligan as Honorable Mention All-NLC.
Concord and Elkhart Memorial both were 7-7 in the conference. The Minutemen had Brenden Curry and Jake Vernon both chosen All-NLC and Zack Stauffer named Honorable Mention All-NLC. The Chargers had Daniel Asbury, Cam Maxwell and Alec Mark named All-NLC and Scottie Clark chosen Honorable Mention All-NLC.
Warsaw finished 4-10 in the NLC and had Tyler LaFollette and Sterling Hay named All-NLC and teammate Zack Witt tabbed Honorable Mention All-NLC.
Goshen and Wawasee each finished 3-11 in the conference. Goshen’s James Paetkau and Wawasee’s Gage Reinhard were named All-NLC while Redskin Michael Pinarski and Warrior Aaron Voirol were named Honorable Mention All-NLC.
NorthWood head coach Jay Sheets was chosen by his peers as NLC Coach of the Year.
