Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
8:36 a.m. Saturday, May 30, West SR 14 and South CR 850W, Silver Lake. Drivers: Sadie S. Crabb, 37, Fellowship Drive, North Manchester, and Maegan Martin, 26, South Cherry Street, Akron. Crabb suffered a fracture/dislocation of the knee/lower leg. She was flown to Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. A passenger in Crabb’s vehicle was not injured. Martin complained of stomach pain but refused medical treatment. Crabb fell asleep while driving causing her vehicle to strike the Martin vehicle head on. Damage up to $25,000.
5:46 a.m. Saturday, May 30, South First Street and West Pine Street, Pierceton. Driver: Joseph Bowers, 20, West Third Street, North Manchester. Bowers fell asleep causing his vehicle to go off the road, hit a tree on property owned by Todd Mossburg, South First Street, Pierceton and a brick porch at the residence of John Doss, South First Street, Pierceton. Damage up to $25,000.
5 p.m. Friday, May 29, South CR 450 West, near West CR 700S, Claypool. Drivers: Jacob Bridges, 22, West Corly Lane, Silver Lake, and Jill Hershberger, 46, West CR 525 South, Claypool. Bridges’ vehicle struck the back of Hersherger’s vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
3:15 p.m. Friday, May 29, West CR 700 South, near South SR 15, Claypool. Drivers: Jena Kammerer, 18, North CR 950E, North Webster, and Sunshine Metz, 18, South Clay Street, Claypool. Kammerer’s vehicle struck the back of the Metz vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
North Webster
Officers with the North Webster Police Department investigated the following accident:
9:27 p.m. Sunday, May 31, North SR 13, north of Ideal Beach Drive, Syracuse. Driver: Shawn Stineback, 32, North Center Street West, North Webster. Hit deer. Damage up to $2,500.
Syracuse
Officers with the Syracuse Police Department investigated the following accident:
5:55 p.m. Friday, May 29, North Huntington Street, south of Medusa Street, Syracuse. Drivers: April Mansfield, 52, North CR 500E, Syracuse, and Kevin Bear, 32, East CR 350 South, Bluffton. Mansfield, a diabetic, was checked by paramedics as she told police she had blacked out. Mansfield’s vehicle struck Bear’s vehicle head on. Damage up to $10,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
6:09 p.m. Monday, June 1, North Parker Street and Lake City Highway, Warsaw. Drivers: Sydney E. Humphrey, 22, Green Ridge Parkway, Brownsburg, and Kimberly A. Dubbs, 42, Administration Boulevard, Winona Lake. Humphrey went to change lanes failing to see the Dubbs vehicle beside her. Damage up to $5,000.
5:10 p.m. Monday, June 1, East Center Street and North Colfax Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Andrea M. Carley, 22, Tamara Trail, Hermitage, Penn., and Achasha M. Gonzalez, 35, South Scott Street, Warsaw. Gonzalez complained of pain to the back and was checked by paramedics. Carley’s vehicle struck the back of the Gonzalez vehicle. Damage under $750.
4:54 p.m. Monday, June 1, East Center Street and North Harrison Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Hannah M. Brown, 22, EMS B60D Lane, Warsaw, and William J. Wandland, 66, West Union Street, Claypool. Brown’s vehicle struck the back of the Wandland vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
4:20 p.m. Monday, June 1, North Detroit Street and Lake City Highway, Warsaw. Drivers: Charlotte A. Campbell, 49, West Harrison Street, Claypool, and Jasimine L. Cords, 32, West CR 600S, Claypool. Campbell struck the back of the Cords vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
2:51 p.m. Monday, June 1, Hepler Drive and Tippecanoe Drive, Warsaw. Driver: Timothy W. Yoder, 58, Chapman Lake Drive, Warsaw. Yoder served to miss a vehicle, which pulled out in front of him. Damage up to $2,500.
11:46 a.m. Monday, June 1, South Buffalo Street, south of East Center Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Billie Carlin, 31, West Monroe Street, Mentone, and Nicole Early, 20, Huffman Street, Winona Lake. Carlin pulled from a parallel paring space failing to see Early’s vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
8:16 a.m. Monday, June 1, Silveus Crossing at US 30, Warsaw. Drivers: Linda Manuel, 61, West Liberty Avenue, Bourbon, and Samuel J. Jebsen, 25, EMS C27C Lane, Warsaw. Jebsen suffered minor bleeding to the shoulder/upper arm but refused medical treatment. Manuel’s view was obstructed by a large truck as she attempted to turn left, hitting Jebsen’s southbound vehicle. Damage up to $25,000.
