2:18 a.m. Monday, June 1, West US 30, west of North CR 350W, Warsaw. Driver: Chanelle A. Moore, 35, Sand Castle rive, Warsaw. Hit deer. Damage up to $5,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
1:42 p.m. Sunday, May 31, West Main Street, west of North Washington Street, Warsaw. Driver: Milford E. Stephens, 66, West Justus Stephens Lane, Claypool. Stephens was attempting to parallel park when his vehicle made contact with the back of a parked vehicle, registered to Carolyn J. Grow, West Main Street, Warsaw. Damage up to $2,500.
12:13 p.m. Sunday, May 31, South Bronson Street and East Market Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Chaise R. Belcher, 23, North CR 175E, Warsaw; Kay A. Scheuer, 34, West CR 250S. Warsaw; and Danny L. Stanley, 64, South Edgewater Drive, Silver Lake. Belcher was transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital for injuries to his entire body. Belcher fell asleep while driving, running a stop sign and hitting the Scheuer vehicle, then continuing on and hitting the Stanley vehicle head-on. Damage up to $50,000.
11:56 a.m. Saturday, May 30, East Center Street, Warsaw. Driver: Gretchen A. Schneider, 17, South CR 450E, Pierceton. Schneider backed from a parking space and was startled by a vehicle traveling through the parking lot at a high rate of speed, causing her tot urn the steering wheel before she was completely backed, hitting a parked vehicle. The owner’s name of the parked vehicle was not provided. Damage up to $2,500.
