Garrett Smiley was 3-4 with two RBI and three runs scored. Landon Goff was 2-3 and Hunter Sroufe 2-4. Riley Anderson went the first five innings to notch the pitching win.
“These are two great wins,” said Whitko coach Erik Hisner via email. “We challenged our players after a tough loss at Tippecanoe Valley on Wednesday and they responded with lots of intensity and focus. I can’t say enough about my guys today. They showed a lot of resiliency. I’m very proud of them.”

Whitko will host Bethany Christian Monday at 11 a.m. The Wildcats then play Wawasee Thursday at 5 p.m. in the Class 3-A NorthWood Sectional.
