A Great Day At Milford Fest
Milford Fest 2015 is winding down for the year. The weather could not have been better for the hundreds who enjoyed the day.
The annual event is a time for fun for residents of Milford, return of former residents and visitors coming to town from surrounding areas. There were many who ran into old friends, former residents, enjoyed a day with the family or who just came to watch the crowd. The one-day event held something for everyone.
The day kicked off with a Kiwanis pancake and sausage breakfast to get the day going. There were hundreds of garage sales in the Milford Community bringing people far and wide.
Milford Fest activities for the day included a car/tractor/motorcycle show, a Friends of the Library book sale, car smash, and plenty of food, arts and crafts vendors.
Free carnival and pony rides were available, thanks to the support of area businesses.
Entertainment and contests were also a part of the festival. There was a cutie king/queen and prince/princess competition for those ages 2-5, and a Milford Talent Showcase. Live music was provided by Living Word, Samuel Jay and Ethan Dane, and DJ Greenhoovs: Ben Mechling. The evening concluded with a street dance featuring Ripchord.
The members of the Milford Lions Club are responsible for the fun event that kicks off the summer season.
