Saturday, May 9, the fifth annual golf outing in honor of Nora Stephens was held by her children at Raccoon Run Golf Course.
The event raised almost $2,000, which was donated to the Kosciusko County Cancer Care Fund, administrated by K21 Health Foundation.
Nora passed away in November 2010 of lung cancer. Her sons started this benefit as a means to help other families who are going through what they experienced with a cancer diagnosis.
They have had many of their family members and extended family suffer both from the disease and the financial burdens. The hope is that by raising money for Kosciusko County Cancer Care Fund that others can be helped in many ways while honoring their mother’s life.
The family thanks all of the sponsors and the golfers for their support.
