Norma J. Holzinger
Norma J. Holzinger, 82, Huntington, passed away at 2:13 a.m. Thursday, 21, 2015, at Parkview Huntington Hospital, Huntington.
Mrs. Holzinger was born Jan. 13, 1933, in Huntington, to Archie and Elizabeth (Pfister) Young. Her parents preceded her in death. She married James E. Holzinger on June 6, 1953. He survives in Huntington, IN.
Norma was a 1951 graduate of Huntington Catholic High School and a graduate of Warner Beauty College. Norma was a lifetime beautician and retired after owning and operating Holzinger Beauty Salon. Mrs. Holzinger was a member of SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Huntington, life member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary, Huntington Art Guild and Three Rivers Decorative Painters.
In addition to her husband, James, she is survived by a son: Thomas E. (Pamela) Holzinger, Roanoke; a daughter : Sue J. (Steve) Ward, North Webster; two brothers: Martin (Jackie) Young, Huntington; James (Joyce) Young, Huntington; two sisters: Carol Grove, Huntington; Janet (Johan) Brongers, Amherts, Mass.; five grandchildren: Nick Holzinger; Craig (Emily) Holzinger; Parker Holzinger; Ashley Ward; and Nicole (Trent) Nabinger; and three great-grandchildren: Jaxon Nabinger; Colton Nabinger; and Lilia Holzinger.
Calling hours will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, May 22, with the recitation of the rosary at 7 p.m. at McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, Huntington.
Additional calling hours will be held from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. Saturday, May 23, prior to the mass at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Huntington, Fr. Ron Rieder, OFM Cap presiding.
Memorials can be made to the Masses of SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church in care of McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, Huntington.
Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Huntington.
