Local Young Entrepreneurs Show They Have What It Takes
By ALYSSA LOWE
Manager of Marketing and Communications, Kosciusko Chamber of Commerce
Local high school students from the Young Entrepreneurs Academy Class of 2015 at Tippecanoe Valley High School will reveal 11 new start-up businesses to the public, at the YEA! Trade Show on from 11:20 a.m. until 12:51 p.m. Thursday, May 14, at Tippecanoe Valley High School.
The presentation is a culmination of nine months of hard work, resulting in the graduates owning and operating their own businesses.
At YEA!, students are taught by local entrepreneurs and are introduced to guest lecturers, successful entrepreneurs, and business mentors. They brainstorm ideas, write business plans and actually launch their own company or social movement!
YEA! runs during the academic year from August to May. The program is now currently accepting applications for next year’s YEA! Class of 2016.
The Trade Show is free and open to the public, and is a great way to decide if applying to YEA! is right for you! To learn more or to RSVP, call the Young Entrepreneurs Academy at Kosciusko Chamber, at (574) 267-6311, or log onto www.kchamber.com.
