Beatrice (Hensley) Patrick
Beatrice (Hensley) Patrick, 83, Tippecanoe, died at 5 p.m. Tuesday, May 5, at her granddaughter’s residence. She has been in declining health for a couple of years.
She was born on July 22, 1931, in Gage, Kentucky, to Shelton and Zillie (Dyer) Hensley, and had moved to the the Argos community in 1950.
Beatrice married Marvin Wright on Jan. 31, 1953, in Knox. He preceded her in death on Feb. 17, 1989. She then married James Rose on July 6, 1990, in Argos. He preceded her on Jan. 29, 2003. She married Menifee Patrick on Dec. 31, 2004. He preceded her on April 23, 2013.
Beatrice was a homemaker and worked for Travel Craft and Franklin Coach of Nappanee, she also was a caregiver to the elderly in their homes. She enjoyed sewing and gardening and canning vegetables. She loved Southern Gospel & Bluegrass music.
She was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Argos. Beatrice loved and enjoyed spending time with her family and her church family.
Beatrice is survived by her daughter: Sheila (Enoch) Wagers, Jackson Kentucky; sons: Walter Wayne Wright, Tippecanoe; and Roger Wright, South Bend; five grandchildren: Tracy (Lawrence) Robinson, Sidney; Sarah (Jim) Snyder, Tippecanoe; Daniel Wagers, Jackson, Kentucky; Stephanie (Richard) Andrews, Tippecanoe; and Aaron Lee Wright; seven great-children; 14 step-children: Marileen Risner; Odell (Faye) Patrick; Viola (Gilbert) Lamb; Asburg (Carolyn) Patrick; Jim (Wilma) Patrick; Joy (Ralph) Clark; Carolyn Penix; Jewel (Bob) Stone; Keith (Margaret) Patrick; Dwayne (Beth) Patrick; Rita (Lowell) Arnett; Loretta (Chuck) Wade; Beverley (Brian) Brown; Scott (Tammie) Patrick; and numerous step-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by parents, husbands: Marvin Wright; James Rose; Menifee Patrick; brothers: Willard Hensley; Carl Hensley; John Hensley; and Clay Hensley; sisters: Della Wright; Audrie Wright; and Faye Duff.
Friends may visit with the family from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday, May 11, at the Church of Jesus Christ, 15676 Michigan Road, Argos. Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 12, at the church, with Rev. Lloyd Howard officiating.
Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Argos.
Memorial Contribution may be made to the Southern Care Hospice, Mishawaka.
