Accident on SR 15, Warsaw
At 3:26 p.m. Tuesday, May 5, emergency personnel were called to the 3700 block of SR 15 in Warsaw for an automobile accident.
The vehicle is reportedly is right-side-up in standing water, several feet deep. First responders are reporting extrication may be necessary.
According to a Kosciusko County Sheriff’s deputy at the scene, the vehicle exited the roadway, coming to a rest in a deep drainage ditch to the east of SR 15. The driver was the only occupant of the vehicle. The driver was checked by EMS at the scene, but did not require hospitalization.
Extrication was not necessary, but fire fighters did have to help the driver out of the vehicle because of the swampy conditions around the crash site. The accident is believed to be result of a steering malfunction. Warsaw Fire Department and Multi-Township EMS assisted at the scene.
Expect traffic delays in the area until police have cleared the scene.
