Dorothy L. Enders
Dorothy L. Enders, 91, formerly of Bourbon, passed away on Sunday, May 3, in Miller’s Merry Manor, Warsaw.
Dorothy was born April 6, 1924, in Bremen, to Oliver and Ethel (Middaugh) Vollmer. She married Virgil D. Enders on Dec. 23, 1944, in Bremen, in the Lutheran Parsonage with Rev. E.G. Dobelstein officiating. Virgil passed away Oct. 4, 2013.
She was a homemaker, enjoyed playing euchre and hunting mushrooms. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Bremen.
Dorothy is survived by her daughter: Linda (Tom) Heisler, Bourbon; two sons: Loren (Debbie) Enders, Brownsburg; Gary (Cheryl) Enders, Logansport; grandchildren: Troy (Brenda) Heisler; Kim (Jeff) Wanemacher; Jerrod (Louvisa) Enders; Angela (Chris) Deatline; Jason (Sarah) Enders; Kevin Enders; Lindsay (Preston) Triplett; Brian Enders; and Daniel Enders; along with eleven great grandhildren.
Proceeding in death were her parents: five sisters: Viola Lynch; Frieda Enders; Elsie Bollenbacher; Helen Hesch; and Mary Lou Kyle.
Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 6, at Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home, 115 S. Main St., Bourbon. A celebration of Dorothy’s life will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, May 7, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Bremen, with Pastors Roger Rohde and Rev. Neil Wonnacott officiating. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the services at the church.
Burial will follow in Bremen Cemetery, Bremen.
