Adult and teen programs for May:
The chess club meets at 10 a.m. Saturdays in May. For beginner or expert, and all ages are welcome.
The cookbook club meets from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Monday, May 4. The theme is family favorite recipes. Bring copies of your favorite recipes.
There will be a history of Indiana State Parks with a PowerPoint demonstration from 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 5. Be sure to register.
New Release Tuesday runs from 4 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 5, and again on Tuesday, May 26. Check online or call the library to see what movie is playing. The movie will be rated PG.
The computer clinic will be held from 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. and again from 2:30 p.m. until 4 p.m. Tuesday, May 5. Bring your computer questions and problems.
Drop-in zone is held for ages 13 to 18 only from 3:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 6. Drop in to play video games or watch a movie.
Off the shelf reading group meets to discuss “The Rosie Project” by Graeme Simsion from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, May 7.
The Lake City Piecemakers Quilt Club meets from 9:15 a.m. until 12:15 p.m. Friday, May 8, to learn about stippling and how to cut on a mat with a rotary cutter.
Knit and Purl club meets from 6 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. Monday, May 11. All ages are welcome to attend, and this club is for both beginners and experts.
From 6:30 p.m. until 7:45 p.m. Monday, May 11, special speaker Cindy Nash will discuss italics, stretching out print, sentence fragments, parenthesis, dashes, afterthoughts and line spaces during the writers club meeting.
Genealogy club meets from 11 a.m. until noon Tuesday, May 12, with special speaker Jeannie Regan-Dinius, who will discuss Indiana cemeteries in meeting room C.
Charlotte Hubbard, beekeeper and bee enthusiast, speaks and writes about these fascinating insects and the humorous side of beekeeping from 12:15 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. Saturday, May 16.
There will be a card making class from 6 p.m. until 7:45 p.m. Monday, May 18. Make three cards with Faith Ketterer. A fee of $8 is due at time of class, and registration is required.
Learn the benefits of exercise and physical activity for seniors at a special program from noon until 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 19. Register for this program.
