The Tuesday, May 5, primary will provide our community with an opportunity to improve the education and safety of hundreds of Warsaw students.
The infrastructure of Lincoln Elementary, the Washington STEM Academy and Edgewood Middle School are in poor condition and pose a safety hazard for students and staff. These schools also do not have the capability to provide the adequate technology for students to acquire the skills needed for the 21st century.
The teachers and staff in these buildings work diligently each day to give the best possible education. However, the students at Lincoln, Washington and Edgewood deserve better in terms of facilities. Our other buildings contain state of the art technology and a safe secure environment. It is important to provide equity across our school corporation. Every student should have access to the same excellent educational opportunities regardless of what school they attend.
The Warsaw Community School Corporation is committed to giving all students the best possible education. Voting “yes” on the referendum that will appear on the May 5 ballot assures educational equity across WCS.
