WARSAW – The Lakeview Middle School girls track teams posted a pair of wins Tuesday.

The 8th grade team defeated Crestview 87-21.

Lynae Dawson and Caitlin Kehler each won two events for Lakeview. Dawson won the discus (83-2) and the shot put (28) and Kehler was first in the 400 (1:10) and 800 (3:02).

Other individual winners for Lakeview were Michaela Buriff in the high jump (4-4), Natalia McGuire in the long jump (14-5 1/2), Makayla Clampitt in the 100 (14.28), Kara Harness in the 200 hurdles (34.91) and Rachel Yeager in the 200 (30.79).

Lakeview also won the 4 X 100 relay event with the team of Clampitt, Grace Johnson, Raegan Merchant and Halle Shipp in a time of 58.43 and the 4 X 400 relay race with the team of Lex Desenberg, Kehler, Merchant and Angie Sanchez in a time of 4:58.18.

The Lakeview 7th grade team topped Crestview 61-48.

The trio of Emily Davis, Sophia Long and Hanna Bloemendaal each won two events. Davis won the discus (49-10) and the shot put (19-1), while Long was first in the 100 hurdles (18.5) and 200 (31.31) and Bloemendaal won the 800 (3:13) and 1,600 (6:42.04).

Other winners for the 7th grade team were Florisela Araujo in the high jump (3-10), Alexis Music in the long jump (11-11 1/2) and Aalachia Fields in the 200 hurdles (37.94). The team of Fields, Long, Music and Angela Martinez-Ortiz won the 4 X 100 relay race in a time of 1:00.97.
