Harold H. Brown
Harold H. Brown, 86, of Kewanna, passed away at 6:30 p.m. Monday, April 20, at his companion’s residence in Wheatfield.
He was born to Harry and Ferrell (Freeman) Brown on Aug. 16, 1928, in Pulaski County. He married Roseamond Leiter in 1954 and she preceded him in death in 1994.
Harold was a United Stated Army Veteran serving in the Korean War. He retired after 43 years from the Labors and Hod Carriers Union Local #274, Lafayette.
He enjoyed woodworking, spending time outdoors, taking care of his yard, playing cards and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Survivors include children: Harold E. Brown, Kewanna; Ralph E. Brown, Monterey; David A. Brown, Buffalo; Tina Brown Jenkinson, Kewana; sisters: Phyllis Pownall, Rochester; Lola Lauder, Mich.; brothers: Richard Brown, Winamac; Leonard Brown, Mentone; companion: Iris Taylor, Wheatfield. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother: Donald Brown, and his parents.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday, April 23, at the funeral home and also one hour prior to the service on Friday.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 24, at the Harrison-Metzger-Rans Funeral Home, Kewanna. Chaplain Bob Rawlins will officiate.
Burial with Military Rites will be performed at Bruce Lake Cemetery.
