Pursuit Ends In Arrest
At 3:36 p.m. Saturday, April 18, Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Mike Mulligan spotted a vehicle with a disabled taillight. Mulligan began to turn around to notify the vehicle when it sped off, traveling through ditches and a yard.
The operator of the vehicle, Michael N. Jacobs, 38, East King Arthur’s Trail, Cromwell, traveled back to his residence, where he left the vehicle and hid before authorities could initiate a traffic stop, or speak with the driver.
Jacobs hid from authorities for approximately two hours before being detained outside of his home in Cromwell. Jacobs is being preliminarily charged with reckless driving and driving while suspended, and admitted to smoking marijuana earlier in the day.
A blood test is pending and the case has been handed over to the prosecutor’s office.
