CSX has already begun work on its railroad crossings in the Syracuse area. The crossing at SR 13 and one in Turkey Creek Township will remain open as work is done on the remaining five crossings.

Syracuse Town Manager Henry DeJulia said CSX will be putting down a new base and rails at the crossings and hopes to have the work completed by Memorial Day. Syracuse police officers will try to direct traffic to SR 13 while work is underway at the other crossings.
