Katherine I. Hyden
Katherine I. Hyden, 87 of Warsaw, passed away at 11:43 a.m. Sunday, April 12, 2015, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.
On May 3, 1927, she was born in Van Lear, Ky., to Otto and Rosie (Thornbury) Young.
She was united in marriage to Eugene Hyden on Nov. 2, 1946, in Paintsville, Ky., who preceded her in death on January 25, 2005.
Katherine moved to Warsaw in 1963, where she worked as a CNA/QMA at Miller’s Merry Manor for 27 years. She enjoyed yard sales, reading and crocheting.
Katherine is survived by three daughters, Patty Ann (and spouse Danny) Clifton, Lagro, Christine (and spouse Johnnie) Spears, Wabash and Charlotte L. Smith, Warsaw; four sons, Roger Hyden, Warsaw, Larry (and spouse Suzanne) Hyden, Mentone, Anthony E. Hyden, Warsaw and William T. (and spouse Lydia) Hyden, South Whitley; 19 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren; a sister, Mary Loucks, and many nieces and nephews also survive her.
Her son, Glen H. Hyden and two daughters, Tina R. Hyden and Sharon J. Tucker, also preceded her in death.
Visitation hours will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, April 16, at First Freewill Baptist Church of Kosciusko County.
A funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 16, 2015, in First Freewill Baptist Church of Kosciusko County with Pastor Terry Bradford officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
