ILMS Holds Art Competition
To help promote good stewardship of our aquatic resources, as a part of the Indiana Lakes Management Conference at Oakwood Resort, the Indiana Lakes Management Society held an Art Contest for area students. The contest was for 4-6 graders and 7th and 8th graders. The competition was open state-wide and lots of great art was submitted promoting protection of aquatic resources. Both the student and their schools benefit with each winning $100 cash prize. Schools are to use the prize towards materials related to lake ecology.
The two state-wide winners happen to be from our area and the winning checks ($100 to the artist, and $100 to the schools) were presented today at North Webster Elementary Milford Middle schools.
Diana Castell and Heather Harwood represented ILMS and WACF, who helped organize the contest.
