William Smith
William H. Smith, 58 of Warsaw, passed away at 12:28 p.m. Monday, March 30, 2015 in Visiting Nurse Hospice Home, Fort Wayne.
On April 25, 1956, he was born in Warsaw to Robert and Janice (Hyde) Smith. He was united in marriage to Patricia Nine on May 27, 1985 in Warsaw, who survives.
A lifetime resident of Warsaw, William worked as a welder for Par-Kan. He also worked for Warsaw Coil, Laketon Asphalt and Stafford Waste Management, Warsaw, retiring in 2001. He was a member of REACT, KemRad and Eagles Club. He enjoyed fishing, playing shuffleboard at the Eagles, NASCAR and Football. He was a big fan of Jeff Gordon and the Chicago Bears.
William is survived by his wife of twenty nine years: Patricia Smith, Warsaw; five children: Cinditha (Casey Carden) Adkins, Galveston; Andrea Smith, Warsaw; Tina (Jeremy) Morgan, Warsaw; Angelia (Tye) Evans, Warsaw; and Lorie Wilson, Warsaw; two brothers: Tim Smith, Columbia City; and Mike Smith, Wisconsin; one sister: Tina Smith, Warsaw; and nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother: Bobby Smith.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, May 9, at New Life Christian Church. A memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. at the church with Pastor John Lowe officiating.
