Call For Entries To Honeywell’s Themed Art Competition
The Honeywell Center Clark Gallery will begin accepting entries for the annual Themed Art Competition on Monday, April 20 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Legacy Hall. The exhibit will be on display beginning April 22 through May 19. Sponsorship for the Themed Art Competition is provided by Duke Energy.
This annual competition features a different theme each year. The 2015
Theme is “trees.” Any medium can be entered as long as the artwork depicts the theme. Entries can include paintings, photos, sculptures, textiles, etc. Guidelines are available at www.honeywellcenter.org.
The Themed Art Competition competition is just one way that the Clark Gallery supports the visual arts. The Clark Gallery hosts more than ten exhibits per year and features students, amateurs, and professionals. Exhibits include the Wabash County Schools, Photography Show, and Wabash Art Guild.
Because the Gallery encompasses the semi-circle of the Honeywell Center Porter Lobby, foot traffic exceeds 170,000 guests per year! Nearly every exhibit hosts a reception to introduce the public to the art. All of this is done free of charge because the Clark Gallery is a part of the mission of The Honeywell Foundation.
A public reception for the Themed Art Competition will take place at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 19. Clark Gallery receptions are free and open to everyone — please RSVP. For more information contact Andrea Zwiebel, Clark Gallery Manager at [email protected] or by contacting the Honeywell Center Box Office at (260) 563-1102.
