While school is not in session over spring break next week, the library will be in full swing with fun learning activities for the kids.
At 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 7, kids in kindergarten through third grade are invited to the library to work on crafts while listening to stories during Tuesday crafts and story time. Preschool story time concludes it’s winter session at 10:30 a.m. and again at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 8. Family story book bingo returns at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 9, as kids have fun playing bingo using cards with story book characters. There will be lots of chances to win and everyone goes home with a prize.
Second Saturday Lego club continues to be a popular event for ages 5 to 12. From 1 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. Saturday, April 11, there will be lots of creativity as children put their imaginations to work building with Lego. Children under 9 should be accompanied by an adult.
The library will host a spring wreath workshop, sponsored by the community center, from 10 a.m. until noon Saturday, April 11, where participants will learn how to make a wreath for spring. The cost of this hands on workshop is $20 and includes all materials and supplies. Preregistration is required to attend. Sign up and pay the class fee at the community center office or call (574) 834-1600 for more information.
