Kenneth Leo Lemley Jr.
Kenneth Leo Lemley Jr., 60, of Churubusco, went home to be with the Lord at 4:48 a.m. Thursday March 26, 2015, at Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home, Fort Wayne.
Born on Feb. 24, 1955, in Centerville, Mich., he was the son of Kenneth Leo and Doris (Klein) Lemley Sr.
Ken attended Centerville, schools and then proudly served his country in the United States Army as a Border Patrol from 1972-1978. On Jan. 4, 1973, Ken married Michele (Hedrington) in Centerville. Ken worked at Essex Wire for 28 years in assembly. He was also a union steward for I.A.M.
Ken was an avid Cincinnati Bengals fan and enjoyed watching them play. He also enjoyed playing golf at Eel River. In addition, Ken loved spending time with his grandchildren, taking them fishing at Tri Lakes and Chain O Lakes and on trips to Michigan.
Survivors include his loving wife: Michele Lemley, Churubusco; children: Heather Machlan, Kenneth Lemley III and Gary Lemley, all of Columbia City; and George Lemley, Churubusco; six grandchildren: Michael and Christopher Machlan; Kenneth Lemley IV; Anthony Conrad; and Kaylee and Alexis Lemley; brother: John (Sue) Lemley, Centerville.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents: Ken and Doris Lemley Sr.; son: Nick Lemley; and son-in-law: Phil Machlan.
A private memorial gathering to celebrate Ken’s life will be held, in accordance with his wishes.
Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Ken to Riley Children’s Foundation.
