Norma Deane Caperton
Norma Deane Caperton, 83, of Warsaw, passed away at 5:20 a.m. on Wednesday, March 25, 2015, at Miller’s Merry Manor of Warsaw.
She was a resident of Kosciusko County, for the past 22 years where she was a member of Warsaw Evangelical Presbyterian Church. She was a 1949 graduate of Thorton Township High School in Harvey, Ill. She was an accomplished artist in different media, her favorite being oil painting. Norma enjoyed spending her childhood summers in Remington, at her aunt Ruth and uncle Tom’s farm. She was a homemaker, a beloved mother and grandmother.
She was born on Sept. 27, 1931, in Chicago, to Hughbert Woods and Lois (Pampel) Woods. On Aug. 18, 1951, she was married to Donald L. Caperton, who passed away on Jan. 6, 2004.
She will be lovingly remembered by her son: Ronald Caperton, Chicago; three daughters: Sandra Caperton, Wheaton, Ill.; Patricia (Robert) Maher, Findlay, Ohio; Kathleen (Gordon) Fuerst, Perrysburg, Ohio; three grandchildren: Rebecca and Matthew Fuerst; Anthony Maher; and her sister: Myrna Bryson, Deland, Fla.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Her memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 11, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, and officiated by Dr. Erik Ohman, Warsaw Evangelical Presbyterian Church. Burial will follow with a graveside service at Oakwood Cemetery of Warsaw. There will be time for visitation an hour prior to the memorial service at the funeral home from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Caperton Summer Camp Scholarship Fund; or to the American Cancer Society, Great Lakes Division, Northwest Indiana Office, 130 Red Coach Drive, Mishawaka, IN 46545 and would be appreciated by her family.
