Indianapolis Officer Saves Injured Cat From Busy Interstate
Thanks to an Indianapolis Metro Police officer, an injured cat stranded in the middle of I-465 is safe and recovering now.
IMPD Officer Dodd spotted the cat huddled against a barricade in the middle of the busy interstate last Friday morning. He worked with Indiana State Police to slow and divert traffic so he could reach the cat and move her out of harm’s way.
The cat, now named Plinko, had some cuts and was dehydrated. She is receiving treatment at FACE Clinic on the northeast side of Indianapolis. Workers at the clinic say she is still skittish, but very gentle and loves to be petted.
Anyone interested in giving Plinko a home can contact FACE for more information.
