Jeffrey Stetler Sr.
Jeffrey “Jeff” Stetler, Sr., 54, Plymouth, passed away Saturday, March 21, at Saint Joseph Medical Center, Mishawaka.
Jeff was born on May 11, 1960, in Plymouth, to Raymond Elmer and Carol Jo Long Stetler. He had been a resident of Plymouth all of his life and was a driver for Transit Mix. Jeff, and the former Pamela Binkley, were united in marriage on April 25, 1980.
Jeff always looked forward to Memorial Day when he would go camping with family and friends. He enjoyed finishing trips with family and friends and also keeping the ducks and the squirrels fed. He was a long time racing fan and helped his son with his race car. He would sit with his daughter and they would watch the races together. He also enjoyed “piloting” his remote controlled helicopter.
Jeff is survived by his wife: Pamela Stetler; their daughter: Jennifer (Mike) Howard, Plymouth; their son: Jeffery, Jr. (Kristi) Stetler, Plymouth; his grandchildren: Nadia; Meghan; Shelby; and Aleigha; two sisters: Sue (Bill) Sullivan, Plymouth and Lisa (Chris) Beer, Milford; two brothers: Sam (Kim) Long, South Bend; and Curt Long, South Bend. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers: Rick Conley and Pete Stetler; his step-father: Art Long and his step-mother: Irene Stetler.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 25 at Van Gilder Funeral Home, 300 W. Madison Street, Plymouth. Services will also be held at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 26. Burial will be at the New Oak Hill Cemetery, Plymouth.
