Indianapolis To Be Included In New Monopoly Game
Monopoly is launching a new “Here and Now” US edition this fall that will include a space for Indianapolis on the board.
Fans were asked to vote which US cities should be part of the game and the top 22 made the cut. The winners were announced on World Monopoly Day March 19.
Indianapolis ranked seventh among fans and will be one of the yellow spaces, with Chicago and Charleston, SC. Minneapolis and Pierre, SD, won the votes and will hold the dark blue spots traditionally occupied by Boardwalk and Park Place in the original Monopoly game.
Here is the full list of winning cities to be included in the “Here and Now” game:
Dark Blue – Pierre, SD; Minneapolis, MN
Green – New York, NY; Virginia Beach, VA; Los Angeles, CA
Yellow – Chicago, IL; Indianapolis, IN; Charleston, SC
