Anna B. Coughenour
Anna Belle Coughenour, age 80, 301 South Pine Street, Akron, passed away at 9:20 p.m. Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at Life Care Center of Rochester.
Anna was born in Pulaski County, Indiana on Feb. 11, 1935 to Cecil and Hazel (Wilhelm) Clingler. She lived 56 years in Akron coming from Delong, Indiana. She married Kenneth Devon Coughenour on March 30, 1957 in Leiters Ford.
She was a housewife and worked at Chamberlain Products, then at Eaton Controls in North Manchester where she retired. She attended Olive Branch Church in Roann, Indiana. Anna’s pastimes were crocheting and setting outside enjoying the outdoors. Most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving Anna is son: Michael (Vickie) Coughenour, Akron; two sisters: Mildred Weiger, Indianapolis and Violet (Eugene) Farris, Salyersville, Ky.; (3) sister-in-laws: Shirley Clingler, Delong; Joan Clingler, Tippecanoe; Josephine Clingler, Akron; four grandchildren: Jarod (Emily) Coughenour, Hebron, Ky.; Aaron (Brittany) Coughenour, Akron; Andrew (Kylee) Coughenour, Akron; Shawn Bucher, Akron; seven great-grandchildren: Mason; Addison; Harper; Austin; Noah; Cooper; and Kinleigh.
Preceding Anna in death are her parents; husband, Kenneth (1987); daughter, Kathy Bucher (2004); and three brothers, Mel, Virgil and Irvin Clingler.
Her funeral service is at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 21, at the Earl-Love Funeral Home, 811 E. Rochester Street, Akron, officiated by Pastor Jeff Sumner of Olive Branch Church, Roann. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 21, until time of service. Burial will be in the Akron IOOF Cemetery.
