Mark Jay Hamman
Mark Jay Hamman, 60, of Leesburg, passed away unexpectedly at 6 a.m. on Friday, March 13, 2015, while at work in Warsaw.
He was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County where he was a 1973 Warsaw High School graduate. After high school he started working for GTI in Leesburg in 1973, and then he worked for several years for OMC & Godfrey in Syracuse. In 2012 he began working for McDonald’s Delivery and worked there until his passing. Mark was a member of the National Rifle Association, and avid NASCAR racing fan, enjoyed western movies, but most of all he loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was born on Feb. 23, 1955, in Warsaw, to Barbara Jean (Clark) Hamman and Forrest D. ‘Buck’ Hamman.
He will be lovingly remembered by his son: Mark (Brandy) Hamman, Jr., Pierceton; daughter: Dawn Hamman, Marion; six grandchildren: Raeanne, Jazalynn, Cody, Kaycee, Austin and Shantel; six great-grandchildren; sister: Karen Joyce, Leesburg; and three brothers: Gary (Jody) Hamman, Warsaw; Ned (Cindy) Hamman, Leesburg; Michael (Pam) Hamman, Akron.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother: Gale Hamman.
Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 17, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw. His funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home and officiated by E.J. Underwood.
Memorial donations may be directed to Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, to go towards Mark Hamman’s Funeral Fund, and would be appreciated by his family.
