Charles W. ‘Bill’ Spicker
Charles W. “Bill” Spicker, 75, of Pierceton, passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at his home.
He was born on Aug. 24, 1939, in Hammond, to William Charles & Elizabeth (Branic) Spicker.
He grew up in Hammond and graduated in 1957 from Hammond Vocational Technical High School. He retired from Local 20 Sheet Metal Workers in Gary, as a supervisor after 40 years of service.
On May 25, 2002, in Gary he married Joan M. (Cummings) Macy who survives and moved to the Pierceton area nine years ago from Gary.
He was a member of the Garfield Lodge No. 569 of Free & Accepted Masons in Highland; Orak Shriners in Michigan City; Scottish Rite; and Warsaw Gun Range. He enjoyed fishing and riding Harley motorcycles.
Additional survivors include: his wife, Joan Spicker of Pierceton; daughter: Diane (Gary) Potts of Hebron; three sons: Mike (Beth) Spicker of Mokena, Ill., Tony (Lisa) Spicker of Dyer, and Matthew Spicker of Valparaiso; stepdaughter, Elizabeth (Jerry) Przwoznik of Warsaw; stepson Michael (Amber) Macy of South Whitley; four grandchildren and five stepgrandchildren; and a sister, Shirley Higgins of Florida
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Judy Spicker.
A Celebration of Life visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, March 21, 2015 at Barbee Hotel Banquet Hall, 3620 N. Barbee Road, Warsaw.
Memorial bequest may be given to the Kosciusko Home Care & Hospice, P.O. Box 1196, Warsaw, IN 46581. Envelopes will be available at the services and Owen Family Funeral Home, Syracuse and North Webster.
