Man Pinned In Driveway Accident
A Syracuse man was taken to IU Health-Goshen with a fractured right leg and bruised left leg after becoming pinned between two vehicles in his driveway earlier this evening.
Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department reports Benjamin Freestone, 36, 72285 CR 133, Syracuse, was directing Lavina Freestone, 15, Syracuse, into the driveway, at the residence, to park a 2003 Ford Ranger, when the 15-year-old mistook the gas pedal for the brake. The Ford Ranger, struck a parked 1990 Dodge RV, pinning Benjamin Freestone between the two vehicles.
Turkey Creek Fire Territory Paramedics transported Benjamin Freestone to the hospital. Police report his injuries appear to be non-life threatening.
The accident occurred around 6:30 p.m.
