Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department responded to the following accidents:
7:25 a.m. Friday, March 13, South SR 15 and West CR 700S, Claypool. Driver: Nancy E. Fairchild, 50, North CR 200W, Macy. Hit deer. Damage up to $5,000.
10:49 p.m. Thursday, March 12, North SR 19, north of West CR 800N, Nappanee. Driver: Theodore J. Yoder, 17, Beech Road, Bourbon. Yoder swerved in order to avoid a collision with a horse that entered the roadway. In the process, his vehicle struck a tree. Damage up to $10,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department responded to the following accidents:
12:31 p.m. Friday, March 13, 365 W. Market St., Warsaw. Drivers: Jennifer L. Simpkins, 52, East Wooster Road, Pierceton, and Denise Y. Rabe, 55, Frontage Road, Warsaw. Simpkins was backing out of a parking space at the post office when she backed into Rabe’s vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
12:11 p.m. Friday, March 13, 2924 Frontage Road, Warsaw. Drivers: Sydney A. Pherigo, 20, North Line Street, South Whitley, and David S. Miller, 22, North CR 900E, Pierceton. Pherigo was backing out of a parking spot at Taco Bell when she backed into Miller’s vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
